Job Description
Our prestigious client, a leader in enterprise software products, is seeking candidates for an Associate Cloud Pre-Sales Engineer role to work with their latest cloud-based products.
Details:
• Number of positions: 4 total: Two Level 1 and Two Level 2
• Start: Immediate
• Duration: EOY, with possible extension
• Location: Remote – 2 positions on the Pacific Time Zone, 2 positions on the Easter Time Zone,
• Hours: Standard core working hours (Pacific or Eastern TimeZones)
• Anticipated Compensation: Starting at $32/hr W2, higher DOE (No C2C)
The offered compensation to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include (but are not limited to) the type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc.
The Cloud Pre-Sales Engineer will have knowledge of digital transformation, cloud modernization, and experience with cloud data management products and technologies. The Pre-Sales Engineer learns new technologies quickly and builds hands-on experience themselves so that they can guide customers through their Trials of the product in the cloud. The Pre-Sales Engineer is comfortable building customer relationships ranging from DBA to Senior Management, and acts as a first point of contact offering subject matter expertise and guidance.
This role will serve as a liaison between the customer, the larger Field Technology and Sales teams, Product Management, and our support organization. This role will Triage customer questions, issues, and requests, supporting themselves when possible, and pulling in or handing off to additional resources when they deem fit. This resource will also be expected to document customer feedback to help develop FAQs and provide feedback internally to improve our product and experiences.
Responsibilities:
• Prioritizes learning hands-on skills and experience with company’s cloud data management product themselves first to ensure they can confidently function in their SME role
• Drive a smooth customer experience while trialing the company’s cloud data management platform
• Act as the initial point of contact and triage for customer questions, issues, and feedback during their platform trials
• Serves as trusted technical advisor to client and facilitator of additional company SMEs and product experts as needed
• Increase use of company’s software through positioning of new features highlighted in the platform trial
• Helps to translate technical features and benefits into tangible business value or non-technical advantages.
• Demonstrates technical expertise and credibility with customers, from technical admin to Senior Management
• Partners with Account Executive, Solution Engineers, and extended account team to ensure account teams are up to speed and engaged on customer hands-on experiences with product trials
• Document, organize, and report back to leadership on common customer questions, issues, and feedback to ensure we are constantly improving our platform/product
Key Sales Engineer Responsibilities
• Advocate company products and solutions to existing customers and prospects.
• Act as the “face” of the company and initial contact point to platform trials customers & prospects – able to quickly and easily articulate the value of the company.
• Continuously drive and promote the value of company solutions for customer business challenges – create value, articulate value, maintain value.
• Stay current with continuous education of the company’s latest software, platforms and cloud solutions.
• Regularly learn and expand personal hands-on skills and experience with the company’s cloud data management platform to act as a true SME
• Understand and communicate customer-specific value of the platform during the trial
• Build and manage relationships with client stakeholders during the trial
• Create client interest in the company’s solutions, advancing the sales process
• Sync regularly with account team lead to discuss progress and feedback on customer trial
• Partner with Field Tech, Customer Services, Product, and Sales to ensure customer success during product trial
• Facilitate and/or lead hands-on demonstrations of the company’s Cloud and Analytics capabilities.
Preferred Skills & Experience
• Cloud, Analytics, Data Management, or SaaS experience and knowledge
• 0-4 years of relevant experience
• Bachelors Degree in a relevant field
