Job Description

The IT Integration Architect is a key role responsible for designing, developing, and implementing integration solutions that connect various systems, applications, and data sources across the organization. This role focuses on ensuring seamless data flow, process automation, and efficient communication between different IT systems, supporting business initiatives and strategic goals. The Integration Architect will work closely with business stakeholders, application development teams, infrastructure teams, and security teams to define integration requirements, evaluate technologies, and build robust, scalable, and secure integration solutions.

* Salary Range: starting at $145K, higher depending on experience

Responsibilities:
• Integration Strategy & Design:
o Develop and maintain the organization’s integration architecture roadmap, outlining the future state of integration capabilities and alignment with business strategy.
o Evaluate integration platforms, standards, and best practices for different types of integration scenarios (e.g., Cloud integration, API-led connectivity, event-driven architecture, ETL/ELT).
o Design and document integration solutions, including data mapping, transformation logic, error handling, and security considerations.
o Participate in the evaluation and selection of integration platforms, tools, and technologies.
• Solution Implementation & Support:
o Collaborate with development teams to implement integration solutions according to established standards and best practices.
o Provide technical guidance and support to development teams during the implementation and testing phases.
o Monitor integration performance and identify areas for optimization and improvement.
o Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Stakeholder Management & Communication:
o Work closely with business stakeholders to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
o Communicate integration architecture and design decisions to relevant stakeholders.
o Collaborate with application development teams to ensure applications are designed with integration in mind.
• Technology & Innovation:
o Stay up-to-date on the latest integration technologies and trends.
o Evaluate and recommend new technologies and approaches to improve integration capabilities.
o Research and prototype new integration solutions to address emerging business needs.
• Governance & Security:
o Ensure that integration solutions comply with security policies, data privacy regulations, and industry best practices.
o Develop and maintain integration governance policies and procedures.
o Participate in security reviews and audits of integration solutions.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on integration architecture and development.
• Strong understanding of integration patterns, technologies, and best practices (e.g., API-led connectivity, microservices architecture, event-driven architecture, ESB, message queues).
• Experience with one or more integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Celigo, TIBCO, Azure Integration Services, AWS Integration Services).
• Proficiency in designing and developing RESTful APIs and web services.
• Experience with data mapping, transformation, and data quality techniques.
• Strong understanding of security principles and best practices for integration solutions.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
