Job Description

We’re seeking an SAP Accounting Operations Lead for a contract opportunity with our client, a leading organization in the distribution sector. This role is pivotal to a major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation project for their North American operations, offering a chance to significantly impact the company’s accounting and finance processes.

Here are the details:

**Duration**: 9 months (with potential to hire)
***Location**: Cerritos, CA; Hybrid schedule currently 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
*** Travel: 25% travel (Atlanta and Toronto,Canada areas) when necessary. ***

Key Responsibilities:

* Act as the main point of contact between Accounting divisions, Business Units, IT department and a third-party implementation partner, ensuring a smooth implementation of the S4 Hana platform.
* Participate in meetings and workshops, offering insights and recommendations to define essential operational and accounting requirements for the new system.
* Support the design of the new system, focusing on standardizing S4 Hana across Business Units while leveraging its new technology, functionality, and features.
* Help with User Acceptance Testing as needed.
* Keep key stakeholders informed of progress, including the North American Business Project Leader, Accounting Business Process Owner, and Project Management Office (PMO).
* Offer implementation support, analysis, and recommendations as required.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

* 7-10 years of experience in Accounting Systems and IT.
* Extensive experience in ERP implementations, ideally with SAP S/4HANA in the distribution industry.
* Experience with SAP FICO (ECC) and a strong understanding pf SAP accounting processes is required, experience with SAP S/4 HANA and Fiori is a plus.
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills, and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
* Self-motivated, independent, and able to work collaboratively.
* Solid understanding of Accounting and Finance processes, with a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA preferred).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, external partners, and executive leaders.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex operational and accounting needs.
