Job Description

Are you a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of Workday HCM solutions? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic team as a Senior Workday HCM Functional Analyst.

Start: ASAP
Duration: 6 month contract, potential for extension or conversion
Location: Remote from US, support Pacific Time Zone
Compensation: Starting around $70/hr W2, or higher depending on experience

Your Mission

In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise to spearhead the design, development, and deployment of Workday HCM solutions that empower our organization’s workforce. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, gathering insights from stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into innovative system configurations.

Key Responsibilities

* Configure and optimize Workday modules, including Core HCM, Talent, Performance, Compensation, Learning, and Absence, to meet evolving business requirements.
* Provide functional leadership and consultation to business partners, building domain knowledge, proposing solutions, and conducting impact analyses.
* Design, develop, and deploy system configurations and enhancements based on business requirements, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
* Configure and maintain business processes, calculated fields, condition rules, notifications, templates, custom reports, and more within the Workday platform.
* Support Workday EIB and maintain security groups, roles, and permissions, ensuring robust access controls and data integrity.
* Collaborate with IT and HR teams to identify and resolve issues, evaluate potential system enhancements, upgrades, and conversions.
* Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the Workday platform, driving continuous operational excellence.
* Lead Workday’s semi-annual release process, working with business teams to address critical impacts, evaluate upcoming capabilities, and optimize the platform’s utilization.
* Support all stages of the software development life cycle, including system integration, configuration, data conversion, functional specifications, testing, go-live, and post-implementation support.

Qualifications and Experience

* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
* Deep understanding of Workday HCM foundations, including Absence, Talent and Performance, Core and Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, and Learning.
* In-depth knowledge of HR domain processes, systems, and best practices.
* **Workday Certification:** Essential Workday Partner/Pro certification in at least two functional areas.
* Minimum of 7-8 years of hands-on system configuration and support experience for Workday HCM in the aforementioned functional areas.
* Project management experience and familiarity with Agile methodology.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with strong organizational and time management skills.
* Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
