Job Description

A talented and experienced Python Scripting Expert is needed to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will play a pivotal part in the development of custom software scripts for our cutting-edge prototype instrument hardware ecosystems.

*Start Date: ASAP
*Duration: Initially through end of January 2025 with high likelihood of extension
*Location: Onsite at the beautiful headquarters campus in San Diego, CA
*Pay Rate Range: $50- $60+/hr W2 contract; no C2C or third parties

Overview:
*Develop high-quality Python scripts for multiple prototype instrument ecosystems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
*Provide mentorship and guidance to other script developers, conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to best practices.
*Champion the implementation of industry-standard practices for Python code creation, maintenance, and version control, including environment setup, documentation, and training.
*Craft innovative scripts to streamline the creation of specification documents and facilitate the redlining process for input parameter sheets.

Requirements:
*Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
*Demonstrated proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Python, C#, Java, or C++ (C# preferred).
*Proven experience in participating in design and code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and maintaining code quality.

*Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen ability to understand complex domains and translate requirements into robust software solutions.
*Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including test engineers, systems analysts, engineers, and stakeholders.
