Convivialist: A person of convivial habits; Cheerful, friendly, jovial. A person good-humored and social at entertainment. Barb admits she had to look it up. Her 17-year old son Michael came up with the name, and it fits. Barb’s passion is people and she was fortunate enough to pair that passion with her background in technology to lead Business Development at Carrera. Barb is best known for her close personal relationships with family, friends, and yes, her clients. She finds the “people” aspect of both her personal life and her career the most gratifying.

Barb has over 25 years of IT experience in organizations ranging from Fortune 100 firms to start-up software and consulting companies. She has a breadth of industry knowledge including experience in software development, data base design, product management, quality assurance, customer relationship management, and sales and marketing. Even though we’re afraid to pronounce it, she is certainly the word that her son Michael came up with; and we mean that most convivialliably (not sure about that one… “Hey, Michael!?”)
